  • Thomas Wehlen: Founder and Senior Fund Manager

    Mr. Wehlen has managed the fund since its inception in 1998. Previously, he managed a fixed income trading desk at UBS and interned at Goldman Sachs, where the the idea for his investment strategy was born . Mr. Wehlen holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland.

  • Rainer Genschel: Business Strategist and Fund Manager

    Mr. Genschel has contributed to the development of Coburn Barrett’s quantitative models since the fund’s inception, and is co-manager with Mr. Wehlen. Prior to Coburn Barrett, Mr. Genschel advised clients on strategy and risk management for A.T. Kearney. Earlier, at Porsche AG he developed numerical modeling approaches using supercomputers. Mr. Genschel holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and an M. E. in Mechanical Engineering from FH Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany.

  • Eleanor Brigham Wehlen: Co-Founder and Director of Marketing/Communications

    Ms. Wehlen founded the company with her husband Thomas Wehlen in 1998, and has managed its marketing activities since then. Before this, Ms. Wehlen worked at UBS in Foreign Exchange and Commodities options trading. Ms. Wehlen holds both an MBA and a BA from UC Berkeley.

  • Andrew Brigham: Co-Founder and Investment Consultant

    Mr. Brigham manages investor relations and advises clients in wealth planning. His career has included sales trading positions at Salomon Brothers, Paine Webber and Kidder Peabody. Most recently, he served as an investment advisor at MyCFO and Waterline partners. Mr. Brigham holds a BA from UC Berkeley.
